About

I am a thoughtful design leader with more than 10 years of experience building and leading teams and nearly 20 years in design.

Currently I lead the YouTube Ads UX Foundation team. My team supports design systems, tooling, surfaces, (which consist of our YouTube feeds, watch, search, and discovery experiences) and our 0-1 modernization efforts.

Formerly I was Director, Product Design for Design Systems at Twitter and grew a team of designers and design engineers that supported our design systems across Twitter’s revenue and consumer product landscape.

I also led the ESPN app product design team on Disney’s Direct to Consumer and International (DTCI) team where we deliver powerful digital experiences around Live sports and News. Over the years I have worked on digital transformations, crafted products and experiences for some of the world’s most recognizable brands. I love what I do. Design has always been my passion and I am always trying to push boundaries - whether it be through the craft of pixel perfection, and typography or through delivering intuitive delightful user experiences

As a design thinker and expert storyteller, when I look back on a project that I or my team has delivered, my measure of success is when I can say it is beautiful, easy to use and understand, exceeds business goals, and uses smart, ubiquitous technology.

My goal is to continuously form cross-collaborative relationships with product managers and owners, user researchers, engineers, creative design and marketing teams, and executive stakeholders to be the connective tissue and enabler. Championing a great culture and helping provide balance to teams by building those teams with diverse thinkers who have diverse backgrounds and points of view is what I always endeavor to do. This greatly improves the quality of the products we design.

More About Me

I currently live in Connecticut with my wife, son, and two daughters. I grew up in the outdoors of beautiful Colorado and spent 15 years on the west coast in California. You can see signs everywhere in my life of my growth mindset and an entrepreneurial spirit. My diverse set of professional and life experiences help make me a strong leader.
